There are about half a million dogs in Israel. About 50,000 dogs disappear from the reservoir each year and an estimated 7,000-10,000 dogs are abandoned. The main reasons for abandoning dogs in Israel: Puppies that cause various damages in the home, dog behavior problems, prolonged travel or moving house as well as economic reasons. Following the research, I realized that there is no support system for people who are interested in adopting a dog and dog owners, which is manifested in a lack of knowledge, experience, and accompaniment of the effort.
The "band" system offers an app to support people who are interested in adopting a dog, from the decision-making stage to adopt, to post-adoption accompaniment, while creating a participatory, teaching, and supportive community.
