About the course
Frequently during the the product development process designers, in additional to their traditional design role, are also responsible for the engineering and production planning. When designing a product for plastic injection molding, understanding technological capabilities and limitations is vital for designers to take into consideration not just product appearance, but manufacturing, design reinforcement, and product cost.
This course, students designed an AM/FM transistor based on existing components from disassembled devices.
The process included design and product planning to culminate in a file with complete specifications ready for the manufacturer and mass production.
