About the course
The Introduction to Technology course is consecutive to the ‘Structure and Materials’ course, and is aimed at exposing students to various production technologies and materials. It focuses on three primary materials (wood, metal, and plastic), and is designed to provide students with the knowledge and understanding required to conduct basic planning. Students study the design possibilities in these technologies while applying and practicing these elements. The course includes 3-D design projects in which students experiment with materials and technologies and consider the industrial feasibility and implications of each.
